Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
When you sign in, your account and skill profile sync to Supabase (secure hosted database). Sessions, favourites, and settings may remain on your device in this phase. We do not sell your data.
2. Location
If you enable location, coordinates are used only in your browser (and short-lived session storage) to show relevant regional forecasts. We do not store GPS history on our servers.
3. Forecast API calls
Live surf forecasts are fetched from the Stormglass API using spot coordinates. Requests run server-side and do not include personal identifiers.
4. Cookies & analytics
We do not load analytics scripts in this deployment. Auth session cookies may be set by Supabase when you sign in.
5. Error monitoring
When configured, anonymous error reports may be sent to Sentry to fix forecast and app failures. Reports do not include your password or assessment answers.
6. Third parties
We use Stormglass for ocean data, CARTO for map tiles, Supabase for auth/storage, and optionally Plausible and Sentry as above. Their policies apply to those requests.
7. Data deletion
Sign out from your Profile to clear local session data, or clear browser storage. Contact us to request removal of your Supabase profile row.
